Day 5~~ Sparkles

Bangles…….also called ‘Churiyas’.

Couple of days back I got a tattoo. A temporary one πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰
That also free with biscuit packet lol.
And few days ago there was a ceremony at my neighbor’s house!!

So along with dressing up traditionally, I also dressed up my hand……with Aladin’s lamp painted on it…..and lots of ‘Reshmi Churiyas’Β  (glass bangles)……ringing against eachother producing a mellifluous resonance and making the moment even more colorful and magical!!

  3. Ah, you brought my past into sharp focus. Having raised five daughters, I have an abundance of experience with Lee Nails, polish, ear rings, bracelets, hair drier, home pems, bathroom wars, and anything else I may have forgotten to mention. Oh, and duties as a parking lot attendant, as well.

    1. Lol that is so accurate!! My dad also feels the same way……he just gets overwhelmed why I need so many polishes and earnings…..and dropping and picking up your daughters everyday…..that is so true!! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

      2. Yeah that’s true……I only wear bangles and heavy jewellery during festivals πŸ™‚
        On other days…..its just a watch or few light jewellery…..coz glass bangles are quite delicate…… you can’t bang them against the desk lol πŸ˜€

    1. Lol I got mine inside a biscuit packet. I was even about to throw it away…….but the design looked very unique and intricate!!

      I got most of these from Hyderabad on a trip. That’s like the bangle capital of the country.

    1. Yeah bangles can quite get in your way if you are working. And the sound is very sweet, but can be a bit out of place in professional environments πŸ™‚ I too love bangles a lot!! I mostly wear them in festivals or traditional ceremonies. There it can quite light up the mood πŸ™‚

Lol… May be yes… But I am celebrating because I passed first year successfully this continues till my next semester… And the chotus so called first year people are celebrating too (for getting into a very good college) so I don’t want to spoil their celebration neither mine…. May be I enjoy people getting ragged by friends 😜😜😜BTW which college are you in?

I was never a fan of churiyan 😦 Mostly because my hands are too big and they always hurt to put on and when I bought big bangles which DID fit my hand they looked so humongous that it seemed like I’m wearing hoola hoops on my arms -_- You’re so lucky your hands/arms looks so gorgeous wearing them ❀

      And I can understand how it must hv been fitting into churiyan……but you can always go for wristlets or those elastic bangles…..I’m sure they are gonna look super gorgeous on you!! πŸ˜€

    1. No I’m not from Mumbai. A lot of people here think that I’m from Mumbai but I’m not πŸ™‚
      I love your profile pic πŸ™‚ And its amazing that inspite of being a Cancer specialist you travel so much and take so many photos and share it with us πŸ™‚ I’m very passionate about travelling….. used to go on regular trips with my family geared with gps and navigators……. but my grandmother suffered a stroke and is bedridden….so its difficult for us to just leave her alone with the attendants.
      So your extensive travel blog along with some other really well explored blogs here form a way of awe and inspiration for me πŸ™‚
