  1. (chuckling) Love this, Mithai! Your Mom took great pics of you! Agree, a messy room is no big deal as long as you know where everything is, and there’s a door to close it off from others view. Happy Valentine’s Day! πŸ’˜ Christine

    1. Thank you Josh!!πŸ˜€πŸ˜€ My mom takes really great pics, can make the professionals out of work😊😊 Sadly many guys and even many girls do that but its even sadder that with such a habit they can never find peace and satisfaction in life. I hope you had a good Vday, or atleast a fun one like mine lol 😁😁

    1. Lol it was clicked while I was telling her how much of a small issue it is whether the room is clean or not as long as everything is found on time!!😝😝 And she’s just going on calling me weird names, it was hard not to laugh πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  2. I’m impressed by your ability to keep your poker face in spite of your mom’s efforts. You may make a fine judge some day. πŸ˜‰ But, I didn’t know if you use that expression in India. So, naturally I googled and found an article in the India Times about Michelle Obama’s poker face. Whew! Belated Happy Valentine’s! πŸ™‚

    1. Haha yeah it was fun and very tough too. She was telling me stuff like how wrong my name ‘Mithai’ is, I should’ve been named bitter gourd, chilli powder and many other hilarious things!! She was also singing funny songs 😜😜
Oh yeah I know poker face. Its a big weapon of mine, sometimes πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
And yess I saw Michelle Obama’s snaps, they went quite viral here too 😝😝 She’s really fascinating ☺☺
Wishing you a very Happy belated Valentine’s Day too!!πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

  3. Mithai, what a fun set of pictures. Your mom is wonderful.
Many people spent this day alone, and there is nothing sad about it. That girl in your school was actually right – we should buy ourselves gifts. But we shouldn’t be embarrassed and make up stories, of course πŸ™‚ Live is a good and fun thing, boyfriend or not πŸ™‚

    Liked by 2 people

    1. I completely agree!! Things happen in their own course. Its about loving yourself and I believe solitude is blessing, a form of independence☺ That incident at school was truly a lesson, in layers. Buying gifts for oneself brings a much needed rejuvenation!!☺☺❀❀

      1. Exactly, and no need to make up stories. If that girl just said – huh, who is that admirer I wonder? – and just laughed and revealed that it is her own gifts, she would get more friends. Easy going people always have friends πŸ™‚

  4. Mithai, I really enjoyed your story of the classmate and her gifts. You told it with such suspense and a terrific “reveal” at the end, about how she staged it all. It was like a fiction tale! It was so well-written, thank you! (And, I think messy rooms are totally fine, one should be able to live the way one needs to and feels comfortable in- everyone has a different style and I find that when I have everything out and around me, the visual stimulus reminds me of what I need to do or what I am working on. I say, go for it!)

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words!!πŸ˜€πŸ˜€ It was very suspenseful for us at that time too and finally the reveal was equally shocking lol!☺
Exactly, messy room induces creativity and keeps us in the motion. Sometimes I forget files but since its lying around, I pick it up in the last moment!! Only a messy buddy can can get another messy buddy lol 😁😁 Hope you had a good day yesterday!☺☺

      1. Well, there’s more maturity now Mithai. That’s the most important chance I could recognise. As I’ve been working in an MNC, I gotta meet a lot of new people, their perspective. Also as I’m growing up now so there are responsibility of family. Cousins are getting married now, tomorrow I’ll be sitting on the same place too.

So when such things happen with us in life, we almost stop giving importance to girls/boys, relationship, sec etc.

      1. Haha yeah he likes to chill and we enjoy bunking his class……I personally believe class teaching has never helped anyone, no matter how dedicated the teacher is…..the real studies and progress happens at home!☺☺

      2. That’s very true! Its been very long since I’ve lost any expectations from teachers….. there’s nothing magical or special about the word ‘teacher’. All they want is money. Most of them, definitely not all, don’t have any dedication towards education or students.

I had read somewhere that sometimes mothers hate weekend coz that means along with everything else, the laundry, organizing wardrobes and making extra nice food for the kids all through the day adds up lol πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

      1. Call for food. Yep understood.
Mom calling. Fast action, else termination by 2 hours of lecture how the food went cold, how obsessed are you with phone, never thinking of helping her out, see what happens after marriage……and so onnnnn

        Liked by 1 person

      2. If I don’t return to calls, my mom again calls 2 times. Then dad calls 9 times. Maybe I’m in a class and couldn’t here…..then they will use the gps software to see where I’m.
This one time I was home alone. My phone charge went off, landline was down and my parents LITERALLY came back home to see why I’m not picking up!!😧😧

        Liked by 1 person

      3. Yeah we can see eachother’s position on Google map through our phone gps. Its just precautionary measure lol and we do use it a lot especially when we can’t talk. But things get tensed for my parents when even gps isn’t receiving signal lol 😝😝

        Liked by 1 person

      4. The thing is I never need to sneak out. I’ve seen my friends do it but if I wanna go somewhere I just tell my parents and they never object. I never had any curfews or restrictions or ‘rules’ in house. I guess what you can say is I’ve been too free…….my friends often tell me how I’ve ‘underused’ my freedom……or I look at it like since I never had any need to sneak out or lie…..I never felt the urge to do so as well.

        Liked by 1 person

      5. Haha that’s good, yeah sometimes things should be kept at yourself specially some of the pranks or fun stuff lol πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ But the gps app is really useful like if I want my dad to pick me up, he can see where exactly I’m. And most importantly its a safety measure….which I think everyone should have.

      6. Haha guess Uber stole the idea from us πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Initially our driver used to get very confused looking at the Google map but now he’s a pro, we even had a navigator installed in our car for him. We live by Google maps lol. God bless google 😝😝

      7. I started the blog in 2nd year of college. I was very sick and had to spend most of the semester at home. My mom had been telling me quite for long to start a blog but never had enough time to do so. But finally at that period I stated the blog. And one of the best thing’s I’ve done till now. Good friends like you make me continue blogging!☺☺

      8. That’s the beauty of blogging isn’t it, people might think they don’t know you properly but in reality they don’t know that they know you more than the people of the ‘apparently real’ world.

      9. I believe writing expresses our true nature. Because most people write to express and not to fake……which is something difficult to find to day to day world. But ofcourse there are the famous writers and novelists who write very idealistic stuff but are deep down freaks.

        *Mean bean* 😝😝
But nope I’m truly getting more active in the kitchen and helping with the household chores….. specially now that I chill all day 😜😜

      14. Yeah the last few months are also very crucial to give you one final lesson of how to chill beyond the expectations of the UNIVERSE!! And again get to pressure cooker mode during the sems! Then only do you complete the engineering course!😊😊

She also called me hippo……and many other ‘made up’ words which have no meaning!! Lol

So, you are hoping your future love spends his Valentines Day with his mother and a family dinner at the end? Just curious! πŸ˜› I was assuming he was one of the guys turning his head 360 degrees or probably someone reading your blog. The latter could happen, right?

But how will you know about the 360 degree. If you asked me, I would say that I haven’t ever done it, but then again I would be lying. πŸ˜›

I completely agree. Nice guys get friendzoned. Been there!
I haven’t run into one so far. Are you sure? How many have you run into? :O

      10. No one stays single because of how they look, truly. And your degrees, how well you write and things like this are the ones that define you….. that determines things in the long term. If not degree, then every person has something that they are good at, something that gives them joy, that’s where confidence comes from. Looks are not enough. So just be proud of yourself…..comeon these days its not even a factor. If it makes you feel better get yourself a haircut, join a gym….
Just be cool. Everything else will workout.
Haha, well none till now, one can only hope πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

How is getting a haircut and joining the gym help?

I am already cool and it isn’t working out. πŸ˜₯ But that’s alright. I know that I am not going to find anyone.
