      1. When I took my last break from school, it felt wonderful! It was great to be able to act like an adult.

I’ve been good, just very busy. I just got into a study abroad program in Belize, where I’ll be doing archaeological field work on ancient Mayan ruins. I’m very excited!

      3. Hey Mithai, what a coincidence that you’re reading a book about the Mayans right now! They’re an incredibly fascinating people, and I never dreamed I’d actually get a chance to work on ancient Mayan sites. I’ll be sure to take lots of pictures!

  1. Mithai, congratulations! Almost finished! Love your stream of consciousness post.. refreshing! Remember the mechanical pencil malfunction during one of my finals in college. I kept clicking and no lead, and no backup. The proctor gave me her pencil to finish the exam! Enjoy your party coming up. Post a pic of you in your new dress! 🎶💛 Christine

You have taken out the frustration 😉
I can understand the situation because I am facing same
All teachers are being philosophers now days
Don’t know what is the moto behind these useless subjects
    Don’t know

    1. In 4 years you’ll see a lot of philosophy, from the teachers!😁😁
I’m trying to be in chill land now, we had our days in war 😎😎
But whatever you study in 3rd year actually is relevant for the jobs are going to be doing later. So even if there actually useless they are still relevantly useless lol😊😊

      1. 😂😂😂exactly
Actually which subjects are useful they are out of my mind
I never understand the methodology of engineering
In next semester I will face the same
Race will begin companies , placement, stress stress and lot of demotivations , I am still trying to overcome the stress even I watch motivation videos 😂😂
But nothing works if you are already knows that motivation

      2. After 3 years you are already an engineer nothing much happens on fourth year. So any technical questions ask you you will be able to answer but the thing that makes or breaks a deal are the apti questions. Just concentrate on those. And for the other companies that don’t take apti, just brush up your coding skills! It’s a stressful time, I know very very stressful…….. but is gonna get over someday!

      3. This time Main that I have is summer internship
I don’t have family relatives who are already in it companies , don’t know how to get summer internship
I am just searching on sites
        How did you get ?😐
Yes I am preparing for aptitude , I know apti is first to get any campus placement

      4. Some of our seniors are in the companies that acted as reference. You would also have to gv a test to get accepted……some of us cracked that and I was in the top 5 of our dept in terms of cgpa so that also helped.
Don’t worry about internships….its not mandatory for campusing.

      5. Oh god I am not in touch with any senior ,
Sounds good you are studious 😋
        Yes I know mam
It’s not mandatory but it does matter when others have internship letter also
Bytheway what about your college placement ?

      6. I know quite a few people who rocked their way through interviews without having any internship. Its really not that important.
I got 2 job offers, some of my other friends also did. And they are planning to appear for more interviews……I’m not!

      7. Actually I think we are the part of literature which can be Hindi or English
So we are responsible for it’s pride and integrity
That’s why I try to avoid award posts and other type of useless posts because writing is not fun
        I take it seriously

  3. RE your 1st paragraph…
Through restless dreams I walked alone
    Narrow streets of cobblestone
“Neath the halo of a street lamp,
I turned my collar to the cold and damp…
Simon and Garfunkel, “Sounds of Silence”
Re your high school pic…I like those wide lapels, kinda like the suits the guys wore in The Godfather. 🙂

    1. Wow I didn’t know of this poem! Its so similar to the scene I described……maybe there’s something beautifully errie about dark nights and street lamps! I often imagine taking a walk like that ☺
Thank you, our school blazer is really nice, I still have it even though its a bit oversized!☺ I didn’t know they are called ‘lapels’, thank you for pointing it out ☺☺

    1. Thank you for being part of my journey!!😊😊❤❤
It was tough but worth it. Our school had a lot of pressure, much more than other schools. My parents did everything to make me study but never forced me or pressured me into anything. Some of my friends had it real bad. There was a guy in our class, he was the first rank holder. His family owned a couple of hospitals and everyone was a doctor. So being the heir to all that he too was destined to become a doctor. They used to put a lot of pressure on him and he started running away from home in the middle of the night and disappearing for a couple of days till someone found him roaming on the streets. He still could have been a doctor given his dad’s connections but seeing how volatile he was, he pursued a different profession. Few kids actually had it bad.😖😖

  8. I too often feel like walking on a tumultuous rainy night. In fact, I’ve done it. Although I’ve yet to come across a beautiful lamp like that hanging from the perimeter walls.

Congratulations on finishing your final exams. 🙂

    1. Hi Chris how have you been? Its wonderful to talk to you after a long time! I’ve been caught up with a few things last few days but its wonderful to see you here after logging in ☺☺
I’m yet to do a thrilling walk in a rainy night but I do hope I come across such a beautiful light. Its the presence of the light with the antique iron handles that feels like time in a different dimension…..a mysterious page from a poem.☺☺
Finals not over yet but soon😊😊

      1. I’m doing well! Going full blazes with my writing. I’ve certainly written a lot of vampire novel chapters, short stories and poems since you last read my blog. 🙂 🙂

I remember both the cities of London, England and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada have beautiful lights and antique iron handles like that. ❤ ❤

Good luck with your exams when they are finally over.

      2. I’ll be visiting you very soon!! Just a few more days my friend, then I’ll be back…..for once and for all😊😊
It must indeed make up for some amazing walks in deep rainy nights over there ☺☺
Btw what’s your favourite thing about those walks?? I simply obsess about such walks….even though I never had one lol.
We get very few power cuts here, twice a year specially during the heavily rains…… Everything becomes pitch black and the heavens pouring itself with shreaking gales and violent trees…… That’s the most ideal time for a walk lol 😂😂

      3. Looking forward to what you think about my writing since you last read it. 🙂 🙂

My favourite thing about walking in the rain is that there isn’t a lot of other people walking around. 😀 😀

Shrieking gales and violent trees eh? Sounds dangerous 😛 😛

      4. Yess absolutely!! I too am eagerly waiting to read your new stories with a cup of coffee ☺☺
Yep its pretty dangerous that’s one reason why I don’t do it lol 😂😂 Especially the trees here are quite risky falling off in storms. But a night like that inspires poems and blog posts haha 😊😊

  10. I know this is an old post because you finished school, but I use pens and markers on my tablet before typing stories or poems. Sometimes, I’ll just use the computer, but the notebook is another way of storing material. Take care.
