  1. Congratulations!! I cannot believe this. Did I possibly not write this word of love and support of your engineering degree and graduation, dear Mithai. (?) Love you, girl! It is like you’re my granddaughter growing up and graduating. xo πŸ’– πŸ’ πŸ†πŸŽ–

  3. The craziest thing I ever did was pack up and leave my home city of Edmonton to move to Vancouver in hopes of attending the Vancouver Film School (one of the top 3 film schools in North America) to take their programs in Film Directing and Screenplay Writing.

    That didn’t really pan out.

I arrived back in my home province of Alberta (although this time I moved to Calgary in the southern part of the province rather than Edmonton in the north) broke.

I really don’t know if that was a wise decision.

On the other hand, it was certainly an interesting learning experience.

And somehow I do think it might have made me a better writer.

      1. Thank you. I haven’t seen you in quite awhile. I’ve been so busy at times, but I must take time to visit my bloggers. Take care.

      2. Thank you so much. Your father was probably right. A lot of cultures have arranged marriages, but times have changed. We need to move ahead, not backwards in life. Even if some arranged marriages do work. So, go on and live. Happy New Year!

      3. Yes we’re not thinking about marriage now. Right now just concentrating on my work.

Infact most people in India don’t have arranged marriages anymore.
Because with more and more girls are getting into jobs and other activities, their interaction horizon has increased.
And they end up finding someone from there.

Back in the days arranged marriages used to work as it was done very practically.
A guy with good eduction and job was looked at as an eligible guy.
And if a girl was educated and beautiful, she was eligible too.
But concepts of eligibility have completely changed now.

Its not so easy to be eligible now actually. Girls take much longer to get married. Average age is around 26-28 in India. At least in the city background.
