We all have that one teacher who hates us for no reason.

I had a couple of them but one particularly stood out.
Because later I found out she did have a very interesting ground to not like me.

It was our English teacher. She taught us for 2 years, in 6th and again in 9th grade.

And she was quite nice for both the years. We all liked her.

I also knew her daughter as we used to go to the same gym. Both of us were in 6th grade, even though she was in a different school. I was 10, she was 11 and we were very good friends.

She wanted to be a psychiatrist. It bothered her how the world is becoming so materialistic. How people are obsessed with every fancy item. How they want every new model of mobile phone they see. Every different style of shoe. Every color of bag. She wanted to cure the world of this.

I was very impressed that a kid could be so thoughtful. Because the only thing I ever wanted since I was 5, was to have my own business.

That’s what I’m doing now.

And she now works in an ad agency.Coming up with ways of how to make people obsessed with every new fancy item.😉

But I love ad people! Its truly seems like the best job in the world. Getting paid to be creative, what else can you want.

Both of us left the gym in 8th grade as studies got more hectic. And we also lost contact after that.

Her mom again taught us in 9th grade and she was nice enough.

Its only in 11th grade I started noticing our english teacher acting weirdly. I could just get the vibe she doesn’t like me. Sometimes if I wished her in the corridors ‘Good morning mam’, she wouldn’t reply.😛

Once day I was standing in front of our water filter filling my bottle. She was passing me.

And suddenly she said, ‘What have you done with your eyebrows!? God!’.

As if getting your eyebrows plucked at 15 years old is a sin.

Before I could say anything she went away.

I had just got my eyebrows threaded very LIGHTLY at a beauty parlor.

I have a joint eyebrow. Everything was still INTACT. Most of my friends didn’t even notice anything.

And I was 15 years old!!

Anyways I didn’t think much if it.

I just thought she too is going through an early mid life crisis. Which most teachers tend to go through every now and then.

😑😑😑😑😑😑

Now I had a friend in school. We were very close. We used to sit together, hang out together, share tiffin. Everyone new we were friends.

And one day she made a shocking revelation.

Her older brother is dating our english teacher’s daughter!!😶😶😶😶😶

He’s 4 years older than us. And they were NEIGHBORS.

If she wasn’t our teacher, it would have been a quite normal situation.

Basically being his sister, my friend was facing the wrath of our english teacher. And bring her friend I was getting a share of that wrath too.

Leh!

And there’s was a very ‘public affair’ affair. They left enough pictures on Facebook to proove their love.

Soon the whole school knew.

Whenever we passed our teacher in the corridors my friend would look at the floor.

‘Stay strong! You will one day be her grandkid’s aunt.’ I often told her😂😂

2 years later we graduated from school.

AND THEY BROKE UP TOO AT THE SAME TIME!! 

Fantastic timing.

It must have been really bad as all pictures from facebook were immediately removed.

And that my friends, was the story of my friend’s brother’s girlfriend’s mother’s issue with me.

So many strange things happen in the universe. You don’t even know how you’re causing them. Or how you’re getting affected by them.

I actually saw our English teacher at the mall recently and that made me come up with this blog. Otherwise I was pretty clueless what to write about.

Sooooo I’m working on my business these days! It keeps me busy whole day which is good!😊

As they say, when work doesn’t fill like work you’re actually working!😊

2017 has indeed been a very special year with huge milestones.

I graduated with an engineering degree. I got the opportunity to move to two different cities of the country. And I rejected those two job offers to work on my business which I started at 3rd year of college.

Surprisingly my friends weren’t surprised with my decision.

On the day of our first job interview a very good friend of mine told me , ‘ I have a gut feeling that even if you get the job, you won’t be joining. ‘

I didn’t believe him at that time as it was a thought I still didn’t dare to think. 

Both of us got job in the same company that day! 

And some months later his gut feeling came true. 😛 He flew to another city to accept the joining but I didn’t.

He’s working in that company now as a software engineer, he absolutely loves coding so he’s definitely in the best place.

Throughout the year I got to know a lot of wonderful people who changed my perspective of how the world works both economically and socially.

It made me realize that kids are not only supposed to become engineers or doctors as most people think. There are so many other things to do.

But saying that, being an engineer definitely gives you that extra edge no matter in which field you are working. 

It was truly the most awaited year. 

Well it’s Merry Christmas!!!!!

I’m supposed to take my parents out for dinner tomorrow. Generally my dad takes us but this year it’s my turn!!!!😊

I made a reservation for today actually.

But it’s ‘Saturday’, no non-veg food day!! So I had to again call up and shift the reservation for tomorrow.
